marlowe theatre in canterbury was a brand new theatre, built on the site of the old theatre within walking distance of the historic canterbury cathedral.

we was required to work in tandem with the stage lift engineers centre stage to create 3 circular lifts at the front of the main stage to allow the stage to be extended as required .

the three lifts involved also had to be decked on top in plywood to allow seating to be installed with maximum tolerances of 6mm.this seating can also be removed when needed and the lifts moved to the basement to allow the seating to be stored and the stage to be extended if needed.
